We Serve LOCAL youth

BMX youth program in McKinney, TX, McKinney Youth Sports

WHO WE ARE

Local BMXers who love to ride.

We understand how this simple machine brings fun, friendship, practical skills, life lessons, and a sense of community all together. There are a few things that can serve a young person through their entire lives, and BMX is one of those things.

BMX local’s mission

WHAT WE DO

Locally

We spend time with local youth, riding bicycles together and investing in positive relationships. We also give resources and provide opportunity for youth in our local area to learn about, participate in and grow in community through riding BMX bicycles. BMX local helps youth build practical, life, and vocational skills. We are investing in each other through time, effort, and financial means.

Metroplex & State-Wide

We spend time with BMXers of all ages, riding together and investing in positive relationships.

Some local riding spots require volunteer maintenance and we help with physical labor and financial support. There are some talented BMX entrepreneurs in our area who we support through purchasing a piece of art or a T-shirt. We also sponsor BMX prize giveaways at multiple organized ‘Jams’ throughout the year.

Global

We give financial support to a BMX global NGO who collects quality used BMX parts for riders in need. They ship parts and travel to developing countries where the parts are distributed at local Jams. Connecting with local riders and sharing in the fun is all part of their mission to…

“ Share a Bike / Share a Smile “

SABSAS’s passion to serve the BMX community is inspiring and we are stoked to contribute to their work!

TESTIMONIALS

  • "The time my son Chad had with Brandon Lee, made a profound impact on my life as a single mother through the time they spent together. Their bond not only enriched Chad's life but also provided much-needed support and respite for me. Their activities, guidance, and friendship not only nurtured Chad's growth but also eased the challenges of single parenthood for me. Their relationship served as a source of positivity, learning, and companionship, making a significant difference in our lives and continue to this day."

  • “ When I was young and my home life was unstable, I remember looking forward to a specific day of the week - The day Brandon and I would hang out. I was just a kid and he was a “grown up”, but we shared a common interest in skateboarding and bmx. He’d pick me up and take me to our local skatepark where we’d work on tricks together. I remember having so many conversations about nothing specific. For some reason the topics didn’t seem to matter. What mattered, and what has stuck with me all of these years was that somebody cared enough to give me some of their most valuable resource - Time. I had someone consistently in my life when I needed it most. “
